I had my nose surgery with Dr. Kim Dae-hwa at Lowell last week. For my first nose surgery, I did not research much and just had it done in my neighborhood, and I did not even know what material was used or that I had even had surgery before my nose ended up low and small, with uneven nostril sizes. It kept bothering me, so I decided not to hesitate any longer and to properly research things this time. While looking things up, I saw that Lalal had been treated by Dr. Kim Dae-hwa, so I went to Lowell and had a consultation.Before surgery, I was excited with anticipation, but as the date got closer I became more and more anxious and scared. I was worried about all kinds of things, like what if something went wrong, and I was also scared about the autologous costal cartilage harvest. I wanted a design that was natural but still somewhat glamorous and suited to my face rather than something too exaggerated.Because my nose is on the small side, I thought there would be limits to how much height could be added, so I gave up on excessive expectations and told Dr. Kim Dae-hwa during the consultation that I wanted the bridge to be moderately high and to achieve natural beauty. Before the consultation, I had already looked up Dr. Kim Dae-hwa's surgical reviews and such, and because the nose shape and nasolabial angle matched what I wanted, I was able to consult comfortably. When I explained what I wanted, the doctor seemed to think the same as I did about many things, including the fact that my nose is small and the skin laxity and other factors limit things. He recommended autologous costal cartilage because the bridge should be about the same height as before, and the round tip should be refined a bit more. He felt the tip was important for a pretty nose. On the first day, because I stayed in the recovery room longer than expected after surgery, I ended up rushing back to the hotel and sleeping, so I could not take photos. The next day I had to go down to the provinces, so I removed the packing, got an injection, had swelling laser treatment, had the area around the ribs disinfected, and then took the train down. I spent several days mostly lying down, and from day 4 the swelling started going down and the blue bruises turned yellow. I started walking from day 4, and after the stitches were removed a week later, it seemed like the swelling was definitely going down well. The swelling on my nose is still mainly between the eyebrows and at the tip, so it still does not feel like my own nose yet After a month, once the internal stitches are removed and the swelling around the glabella and tip goes down a bit more, I think it will look even better!
