Eye Surgery Reviews

I eventually had revision surgery because of the D-shaped outer corners left by lateral canthoplasty

Among those who had lateral canthoplasty before, is anyone else bothered by the shape of the outer corners like me? T_T Even though it had been quite a while since surgery, the back of my eyes still didn’t connect naturally, and the ends bent slightly like the letter D, which kept bothering me. At first, I simply lived with it because my eyes did look bigger, but every time I took photos, the shape of the outer corners stood out first, and it gradually became stressful. Especially from the front, instead of the outer corners flowing smoothly, they looked as if they suddenly bent at the ends, and makeup couldn’t hide it well either, T_T.

During the consultation, they said that after examining my eyes, it was important not merely to widen the back further but to determine how to connect the existing angular area. They checked the remaining space at the back of my eyes and explained that they would choose the direction according to my current eye shape, which reassured me a little.

When I first had lateral canthoplasty, even the whites of my eyes swelled and I had quite severe bruising, so I was shocked every time I looked in the mirror. This time, even though it’s the day of surgery, I don’t feel that the swelling has become severe yet.

This time, I didn’t do it to make my eyes bigger; I simply wanted the angular outer corners from before to look natural. So far, thankfully, it seems to be heading in the direction I wanted, haha.
