Eye Surgery Reviews

My eyes look more natural after revision surgery

After my first surgery, I thought the result was fairly good, but as time passed, the line looked too thick and kept bothering me. In addition, I felt as though opening my eyes took less strength than before, so I eventually started looking into revision surgery!!! Since these were eyes that had already been operated on once, I was much more cautious this time, starting with researching clinics. I wondered whether I needed another incisional procedure, whether ptosis correction was also necessary, and which method would be best for my current eye condition. I also worried about what I would do if I disliked the result again, and I researched clinics hoping I would never need another revision~~~. In particular, because I am currently breastfeeding, I was very concerned not only about the surgery itself but also about the medication taken afterward and how long I would need to pause breastfeeding. Since I have childcare responsibilities, it was not enough simply to choose a surgery date; I had to think in advance about when to stop breastfeeding and when to resume, so I carefully checked these points and wanted to ask about them during the consultation. Since it was revision surgery, I had many questions, and I liked that Dr. Hwang focused on the thick line that had bothered me and the discomfort I felt when opening my eyes. When I also explained that I was currently breastfeeding, the doctor said it would be best to pause breastfeeding for about a week after surgery and discussed with me how to schedule the surgery while taking that pause into account. The points I needed to be careful about during recovery were not explained vaguely; the doctor explained them in a way that let me consider how to adjust my actual schedule. During the consultation, I gradually sorted out my concern about whether breastfeeding meant I would have to keep postponing surgery. I compared consultations at several clinics, was able to organize the points I was curious about first, and then decide on the surgical method. Since this involved both revision surgery and breastfeeding, there were many things I was concerned about, but they considered these practical aspects of my daily life as well, so I decided to have surgery at Modern Aesthetics. After surgery, I had swelling and bruising, but it was not so severe that I had difficulty with daily life. The swelling is gradually going down, and most importantly, I used to feel that I had to exert subtle force to open my eyes, but now it feels easier than before, which I like the most. The double-eyelid line is much less burdensome than before and turned out well in the direction I wanted, so I think it will settle more naturally over time haha. At first, I was very worried about revision surgery itself, and I was also unsure how to schedule it while breastfeeding. But once I checked each point during the consultation and adjusted my schedule, I felt much more at ease than expected. If you are considering eye revision surgery while breastfeeding like me, rather than only looking into the surgical method, I recommend asking in advance about your current breastfeeding situation, postoperative medication, and how long you need to pause breastfeeding, then making a plan around your own schedule. I also wondered whether I would have to keep postponing it because of breastfeeding, but after confirming the necessary pause in advance and coordinating my surrounding schedule, the surgery was not as difficult as I expected and recovery went smoothly~~ I really love my eyes, so I am satisfied with the revision surgery!
