Nose Re-Surgery

Only one side of my ear cartilage was harvested

I only had ear cartilage harvested from one side, so I thought that until now they had used only silicone for the nasal bridge and ear cartilage for the tip. But recently, during a consultation about complete removal, I had an ultrasound, and they said there were two layers of ear cartilage at the tip and ear cartilage in the columellar support as well. Can one piece of ear cartilage really be used that extensively..? The hospital where I had it done never said they used septal cartilage.. So when I said during this recent complete-removal consultation that it had been done using only ear cartilage, are they saying that only ear cartilage was used in both the tip and the columellar support..? Can you tell if it is septal cartilage by touch because it feels distinctly different? Could the previous hospital have taken and used septal cartilage without telling me Can one side's ear cartilage really be used that much..? I'm afraid they might open it up and suddenly say there is another material, or that they used septal cartilage I'm scared
