Liposuction Reviews

One-month liposuction review at [Clinic A] (arms, back, waist)

This is my one-month review after arm + back + waist liposuction haha ! It is still not the final line yet and I am still in recovery, but about a month later there are definitely changes I can feel, so I want to write them in detail! First of all, I was originally the kind of body type that easily stores fat in the upper body. Especially my upper arms, the back fat around the bra line, and the side waist line were stressful for me, and even when I lost weight, those areas did not seem to go away easily, so I was always worried. When I wore clothes, my arms would feel tight, and I would avoid tight-fitting clothes because I worried unnecessarily. Especially summer clothes or fitted knits, even if I wanted to wear them, I felt uncomfortable because of my body shape, so I do not think I could wear them with peace of mind. Right after surgery, honestly, my body felt much more sore than I expected. It felt less like simple muscle soreness and more like a combination of having the flu and severe post-workout pain? Especially when raising my arms or getting out of bed, it was extremely uncomfortable, and living in compression garments was also not easy at first. The bruising was wider than I expected, and the swelling was pretty severe, so I kept thinking, when will this go away...? haha Still, after a week or two the major swelling and bruising gradually started to go down, and around one month later it was clearly visible that the overall line had changed. The part I am happiest with now is the line. In fact, I still have some minor swelling and it does not feel completely slim yet, but even though only the big swelling has gone down, the lines of my arms, back, and waist look much more organized. Especially the back line that used to bulge over the bra from behind has become much neater, and once the side waist line was tidied up, the whole silhouette looked different. Before, my upper body overall looked heavy and dull, but now it feels much lighter and slimmer. And personally, the biggest satisfaction for me was the change in clothing fit. I am so happy that I can now wear clothes I wanted to wear but could not because they felt too burdensome. Even when I wear tight T-shirts or knits, my upper arms do not catch my attention first like before, and sleeveless tops or clothes that show the shoulder line feel much less burdensome than before. Really, because of this part, I think my satisfaction is much higher. I am feeling that the difference created by line refinement is much bigger than the number on the scale. That said, recovery is not completely finished, so there are still uncomfortable parts! As of one month, if I make a movement that stretches my arms or back a lot, the pulling sensation is quite strong. For example, when I stretch or extend my arms straight up, it feels like the skin inside is being pulled? There is still a bit of stiffness and slight pain left. Daily life is almost fine, but in certain positions I can clearly feel that I am still recovering. Also, the BioBond is still present. When I touch it, there are parts that feel firm and bumpy here and there, but the hospital said it will gradually loosen over time, so I am continuing to manage it and wait. Right now it still feels more like I am in the middle of recovery than like my body is completely natural. Still, overall I am really satisfied. Of course I do not feel that liposuction is a magical procedure that suddenly makes you extremely thin, but I definitely feel that it changes the body shape into something much more refined. For me, who had a lot of upper-body stress, it seems like a procedure with very high satisfaction. It has only been one month, so I am looking forward to how much prettier the line will become once the remaining swelling and BioBond loosen even more ✨
