Hello! I had been considering nose surgery for more than 10 years because I was self-conscious about my small, short nose, but I kept hesitating because I was always worried about complications such as contracture or inflammation. Then I finally gathered the courage to have a full autologous-tissue nose surgery, and it has been about 2 weeks since the procedure.
While looking at review photos on beauty communities, I found a case that matched exactly the natural nose line I wanted, so I ended up consulting at ALU Plastic Surgery. In the end, the bridge was done with the 3D custom DCF method! My first nose surgery was done under general anesthesia, and since it was my first time I was very scared, but Manager Ahn Hyeon-ju took good care of me, so aside from feeling a bit dizzy, there were no major issues.
The pain at the autologous costal cartilage harvest site was not as severe as I expected, so it did not interfere at all with going to the bathroom or changing positions.
Even on the day of surgery, while I still had the splint on, my boyfriend said it looked good the moment he saw it. The gauze made breathing a bit uncomfortable for about a day, but after it was removed the next day, it became much more comfortable.
I took the prescribed medication faithfully for a week and also drank pumpkin juice, and the swelling visibly went down.
When the splint was removed on day 7, it came out exactly in the line I wanted, and I was truly moved. It looked slightly high, but they had explained in advance that they had intentionally overcorrected it because it would settle down over time, so I understood.
Now, at the 2-week mark, the swelling has gone down even more, and people around me keep saying it looks natural. From other people's reviews, bruising and swelling seemed quite severe, but since mine was not that bad, I think they really handled the surgery carefully.
Since they say the swelling will go down even more by 1 month, I am looking forward even more to how it will look after one month and three months!
