I had revision surgery for contracted nose, and wow, I never want to go through that again..

The doctor opened the nose, took out what needed to be taken out, and apparently it had collapsed pretty badly.. (rambling, long post.. warning! The summary is at the very bottom.. if you're lazy, just scroll down!) This time they used autologous costal cartilage, and they harvested two pieces, 8 and 9.. It wasn't enough My nose must have been that badly damaged.. Today is day 3 and it's very swollen... the worst it has ever been among all my nose surgeries! They said there wasn't much bleeding during the surgery, but toward the end there was suddenly a lot of bleeding.. It was such a difficult nose, so the surgery took longer... They also removed two pieces of costal cartilage.. whatever happened, even if it hurts.. the most important thing is that it ends with a surgery with no complications.. I woke up and there was a blood drain hanging from my nose.. wow.. what is this.. and at the same time, wow, autologous costal cartilage really hurt a lot.. Somehow the surgery started around 1:30 p.m. and seems to have ended around 5 or 6 p.m., and after the sedation wore off, I was in too much pain and too confused to think straight.. Even though the coordinators said they would help, I couldn't even change out of my clothes and shoes.. so I went home wearing the hospital gown and slippers, with the blood drain attached to my nose;; When I woke up the next day and went to the hospital with the drain completely full, they changed the drain and said it looked like blood had pooled in my nose, so it probably couldn't come out because it was full. While pressing on my nose to drain the blood, it came out in a stream.. the feeling was..;;;; They kept asking if it hurt while doing it, but strangely enough it didn't really hurt... Rather, as something swollen was coming out, it felt a bit relieving? I guess you could say that. It looked like they removed the tape to check the blood, and then while checking where it was coming from, they kept pressing to find where it had pooled.. they pressed firmly for tens of minutes until it stopped coming out on its own. Even though it was scary, I felt reassured(?).. They put a new splint on again, and then the director asked if I had time and said we should admit me to monitor the progress, so I was hospitalized! Even though it was nose surgery (actually, compared with facial contouring or surgeries that cause a bit? a lot? more damage, nose surgery might seem unnecessary to hospitalization to other people but the person with the nose knows best how serious it is, because it's my nose....), they kindly admitted me! They gave me antibiotics, checked my blood pressure frequently, and kept checking whether I was dizzy or not, so I was really scared and worried.. but that helped a lot.. Even though it was a hospital holiday, they came by from time to time to check and treat me!! They came again during the morning consultation hours to check once more, changed my nasal cotton themselves, treated me, and told me to get one more antibiotic shot before discharge, so I got one shot and was discharged! [[Summary]] My whole body hurt, but I was worried because it was a difficult nose revision surgery, and the blood drain really shattered my mental state.. In the end, the surgery took longer.. a hard nose surgery.. (n-th revision for contracted nose) Due to lack of materials, they took 2 pieces of costal cartilage... After surgery I went home with the drain. On day 2 I went for a checkup and they thought blood had pooled, so they recommended a one-day hospital stay, gave antibiotics, and even though it was their day off, the director came in person and treated me and managed me, so the bleeding was brought under control! On day 3 they removed the drain, gave one more antibiotic shot, and like everyone else, I was discharged with only the splint and cotton in place! They told me to come back on day 4 for hyperbaric oxygen therapy and an injection. I also need to go back to remove the cotton. My face is in a state of "Who are you?" This is serious.. I have to go to work... sigh... (I wrote this freely as a record of the surgery progress~! I'm curious how I'll look once the splint comes off!) Tomorrow is day 4, and they told me to come in again for an injection and hyperbaric oxygen treatment, so.. I'm going again tomorrow.. I've been going every single day after the surgery I'll keep posting updates as a record!
