This is my first nose surgery, and because my nose was too sunken in compared with the brow bone sticking out, I started looking into nose surgery. After going around to several clinics, I am torn between two options, so I would appreciate your thoughts.
Option 1: Bridge (silicone) + tip (autologous costal cartilage or donated rib cartilage + ear cartilage), correction of a bulbous nose, hump removal There was no separate mention of septal cartilage, so I am not sure. There are many reviews for this large hospital. But since they also have review events, I guess that may be part of it, and there are also comments about it being a factory-style hospital.
Option 2: Bridge (silicone) + tip (septal cartilage + ear cartilage if needed), tip volume reduction, hump removal, nasal bone reduction Maybe because they do not use rib cartilage, the price is much cheaper. They do not bring up rib cartilage. Even when I ask, they say they only use ear cartilage or donated rib cartilage if needed. They say more than 90% of cases are finished with septal cartilage. It is a private clinic, but there are hardly any reviews. It is fair to say there are almost none.
The two places are saying very different things, so I am confused. Which one do you think is better? This is my first surgery, so I wonder whether using autologous rib cartilage is the right choice, but I have also heard many people say that if you use only septal cartilage, it will collapse before long.
