I have a nose with a septal extension! It’s been 4 months now, and there’s no movement at all when I say “mmm,” and when I smile it feels tight and is fixed in place, so it looks like a hooked nose and is uncomfortable. Before and after surgery, the tip shape is almost the same, but after surgery the columella was fixed so it became longer and only discomfort was added, right? So I was going to remove everything, but because there wasn’t a big difference between the before and after shapes, they recommended leaving the support in place since taking it out could cause the nose to drop. I thought it would go back since it’s not really different from my original nose, so it was a bit shocking.. But if I leave the support in, I’m worried that the lack of movement when saying “mmm” and the discomfort when smiling will stay the same. If anyone here left the support in, could you tell me how uncomfortable it was? I know the firmness can’t be helped, but I really hate it when the foreign-body feeling makes daily life inconvenient, so I’m worried.

I had nose surgery about 16 years ago, with a basset-hound-type nose shape (4 mm silicone, ear cartilage, cartilage tying, columella), but the T was too strong, the silicone was showing, and the nasal tip was blunt, with some drooping of…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoJul 20 P.R.M. vs C.M.
They said it was a relatively easy case because it was ear cartilage + silicone, and they suggested doing both without an open approach. P.R.M. would be full removal + cartilage rearrangement? C.M. would be full removal + autologous dermis

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoJul 20 It was reduced, but it ended up lower than my natural nose.. If I revise it, will it become similar?
My goal was to go back to my natural nose, but the repositioning seems lower than my natural nose, and the tip point also seems to have been repositioned droopily. If I do cartilage repositioning again to make it similar to my natural…
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoJul 20 Is it about lowering the columella?
Would this be called septorhinoplasty? As someone with a congenital depressed columella, I'm thinking about removing the whole nose except lowering the columella only (taking it down), but do any of you have experience with that? I'm…
