It’s finally been 6 months since my revision nose surgery at Human with Director Kim Kuk-hyeon. When my first surgery failed, my nose was turned up, my nostrils showed too much, and my bulbous tip was still there... I wanted to die, but after the surgery I feel like I can live again The first hospital said they would do aftercare, but I didn’t want to go back so I didn’t even consider it, and I spent forever searching for another place. Since this was a revision surgery, it definitely took a long time to research online and visit in person. And it wasn’t like I liked everything from the beginning after surgery; even as the swelling went down, I liked the line, but I kept thinking, what if the shape changes again? So I kept zooming in on the angles down to the nano level and taking photos to compare Still, people around me kept saying nice things, and once I reached the six-month mark I felt like it should be okay now, so I relaxed a bit and can smile more comfortably! Since it was revision surgery, the bridge was made with a custom 3D silicone implant, and I used autologous costal cartilage for the tip. I wanted to fix every problem with my nose, so the doctor meticulously did osteotomy, bulbous-tip correction, alar reduction, and short-nose correction too Now I feel like even the last bit of swelling is gone, and while the front view is good, I especially love the side line Before, my nose was short and blunt, so I looked dull and somehow plain, but after the short-nose correction and slightly lowering the tip, it seems the nostrils show much less! And because the bulbous-tip correction and alar reduction were done together, the bulky tip seems to have been shaped into a really slim line, which I love. I also had osteotomy because my bridge looked spread out, and the side profile and 45-degree view definitely have the line I wanted, so I’m happy Maybe because it’s autologous costal cartilage, even after 6 months there’s not a single bit of shape droop, and it’s staying in the exact elegant straight-line shape I wanted, so I’m relieved in my own way!! Thinking back to the days after my first surgery failed, when I spent every day digging through reviews and feeling miserable, it all feels like a past life and like a dream... I hope everyone doesn’t have to go through a revision surgery like I did and instead researches well from the start so your nose surgery succeeds beautifully!! Then bye!
