I'm now 9 months out from my revision surgery, and getting to this point was really rough.. For the tip, I used donor costal cartilage, plus I had a short nose, bulbous nose, nasolabial angle correction, and columella lifting? Those are the main things I can think of, but I really had a lot done.. Right after surgery, my nose hurt so badly that I wondered if the surgeon had hit it during the operation.. My first surgery hurt the same way, but doing it again after so long brought all those memories back And when I removed the splint, because of the swelling I could not tell what shape my nose even had, and compared with the expected photo they showed me during consultation, it looked way higher and more upturned, so I was extremely anxious. From that point on I got really obsessive and kept badgering the clinic, checking my progress constantly, getting treatment, and repeating the cycle over and over. Looking back, I really was not normal then. But still, this kind of thing is understandable, right? Even so, because I was so anxious, the coordinator and the surgeon did treat me like a baby lol. Sometimes they were busy and looked at me rather perfunctorily, but even then I kept whining so much that maybe they got tired of me. Also, when I said I wanted donor costal cartilage because of scarring, they kept recommending autologous costal cartilage ㅡㅡ I know this surgeon uses autologous costal cartilage well, but I still did not want a scar, so what could I do They tried really hard to persuade me by saying they would make the scar invisible, but who am I? I am one of the top 3 most stubborn people. I had already gone there thinking about donor costal cartilage, so there was no chance of changing my mind. I was told that because donor costal cartilage can be absorbed, they would need to use two pieces and set the shape higher than usual. So I knew it would be high, but I did not know it would be this high and make me so anxious. Now it is a memory, but when I think about how it looked back then, it really was hopeless. And honestly, even though I am at 9 months, I still feel like there is swelling left. I really do not know how long the swelling will last Sometimes when I am not feeling well, both the inside and outside of my nose swell up, so I cannot exactly say it is 100% settled, but if it keeps this shape, I think I will be satisfied. If I think about having nose surgery three times, the cost is the cost, and my mental state would probably not stay normal either. At this point I just want to stop thinking about my nose and live. For those who have had nose surgery, how long did your swelling last??? If you have any great swelling-care tips, please share!!
