I had my first nose surgery at another hospital, but honestly there were a lot of things I felt disappointed about T_T Because I said I wanted it to look natural, maybe the nose I had after surgery still lacked height, and from the front it still looked broad at the tip, so after some time I could barely tell I'd had surgery at all.. At some point my nose also started to look slightly crooked, so every time I took photos I paid a huge amount of attention to the angle.
The more I used Instagram, the more I realized I actually like a glamorous nose. My first surgery was so natural that it did not look operated on, but I kept thinking it also was not the look I wanted, so in the end I had revision surgery at [Clinic A]. When I searched for a glamorous nose, the reviews I liked showed up the most.
When I was thinking about revision surgery, people around me kept saying things like, “You have a cute image, why do it again?” or “It looks fine now, so why bother?” So I wondered whether it looked okay to other people, but every time I looked in the mirror, the parts that bothered me were so clear that I thought it was better to go through with it than keep stressing myself out.
During the consultation, the director looked at my nose and explained why the tip looked broader and why my nose looked short and cramped, and it was amazing because it matched exactly the worries I'd always felt while looking in the mirror.
I decided to have surgery using the recommended methods: autologous costal cartilage for the tip, an implant for the bridge, osteotomy, correction of the crooked nose, correction of the broad nose, and correction of the short nose. It felt like a lot, but those were all the parts I wanted changed, so I trusted them and went ahead.
It has now been one month, and the most amazing change is the front view. The spread-out, rounded feeling of the broad tip has been reduced a lot, and the crooked-looking part has improved too, so the stress I felt when taking photos or looking in the mirror has dropped dramatically.
What is funnier is that before surgery, everyone told me not to do it, but after surgery, far more people started asking which hospital I went to. Even friends who were not originally interested in noses asked first, so I felt oddly proud.
It used to be a nose people had lots of opinions about, but in the end everyone says I did well, so I feel relieved and proud.. Before, I would take dozens of photos just to get one I liked, but these days I do not worry much even when a photo is taken from any angle.
The swelling is gradually going down, and the bruising is only at the level that can be covered with makeup, so I realized revision surgery was not as uncomfortable as I had thought.
After doing revision surgery myself, I think it is good to have a clear idea of what parts you want to change about your nose, and I also think it is important to look at lots of photos and develop your own aesthetic sense, whether you prefer a natural look or a glamorous look.
