As you can tell from my nose, it was a bulbous nose with a hump as well.. So I had always thought I wanted nose surgery someday T_T So I went to a few consultations because I at least wanted to talk about nose surgery, but each hospital said slightly different things, so I ended up worrying a lot more than I expected T_T Among them, the consultation with Director Choo Seong-cheol at D-Day felt the most comfortable, and he really listened well to the kind of look I wanted! I liked that he explained it in a way that focused on natural improvement rather than just making it higher! After the consultation, I felt it matched the direction I wanted best, and after thinking it over, I decided to get it done here!! The surgery corrected both the bulbous nose and the hump, and he said they would do their best to make it look natural in the direction we discussed during the consultation! Since the tip of the nose is especially important in this kind of surgery, I looked into different materials too, and I heard donated rib cartilage provides enough volume and helps shape the tip. At the consultation, they also said that method would be good for my nose, so I got the surgery using donated rib cartilage! Right after surgery, there was swelling and the tip felt hard, so honestly I could not really tell!! Until week 2, I was just thinking I had to wait, but around one month later, I feel like I can start to see the difference little by little! As the swelling went down, the whole nose felt more refined, and especially the bulbous-nose look decreased a lot, which is the part I am happiest about! The tip also looks much neater than before, and the overall impression feels much more organized too! The hump was also smoothed out naturally, so now I feel like it is settling nicely into the direction I wanted, and I am satisfied so far. Of course, it has only been one month, so the tip still feels firm when I touch it, and the swelling probably needs to go down more?? Still, the parts that bothered me before surgery seem to have improved a lot, so up to now I am satisfied! I think of it as still being in the recovery process and am watching it slowly, but at the one-month mark I really understand why everyone says to wait until the swelling goes down!!
