Hi!!! It has really been a long time I hope everyone has been doing well~ Come to think of it, today is exactly the 1-year mark!! I had it removed on 6/18 last year, so I came back to leave a review on how things are after 1 year!! (Sorry I could not reply to the messages and comments people left me I had an issue because I forgot my password for a while) Anyway, if you ask whether I am doing well, I am doing well!!! I am doing so well that I got appearance anxiety again haha What I mean is that I no longer hurt from pain, so I have become someone who can sit here and worry only about shape in peace When I was going crazy from pain, I saw posts here about people who had total removal and then ended up getting nose surgery again, and I thought, 'Are they out of their minds?' I thought people doing that again were so pathetic, and since I was in pain and felt like I was dying, seeing posts about people worrying only about shape made me feel so wronged. But once my pain completely disappeared and life became livable again, I started missing my surgical nose again while looking at my own nose It is so absurd that it makes me laugh Honestly, I am pathetic too... In the end, cosmetic surgery started because I could not love myself, and it seems like it never ends well. Even after experiencing pain that felt like it would kill me, once I felt better I started missing the surgical nose, got pulled back into appearance anxiety, and now I am living unable to properly feel thankful for being alive That was just my mental side I was talking about! If I talk properly about shape and physical aspects, it is almost the same as my original nose! The nostrils are exactly the same, neither side is bigger or smaller, and they are aligned perfectly in the center, so the nose shape is just like my original nose. The bridge and tip also come down in one straight line without any step. For a nose that had total removal, I think it was really removed well, so I am very grateful. But there is one thing I definitely want to say: the tip can never go down exactly like an original nose. Rhinoplasty involves cutting all the existing tissues and placing support there, so if everything is removed, the existing tissues end up attaching toward the septum, which means the tip has no choice but to rise. How much it rises seems to vary from person to person, and also depending on how many years passed before the total removal. I had total removal about 1 year and 6 months after my first surgery, so it is almost like my original nose, with only a slight lift at the tip. But my original nose was a very long nose with a droopy tip, so from the side I actually like the nose after total removal more. Looking from the front, though, the space between the eyebrows became wider, and much more of the nostrils are visible than with the surgical nose. Compared with my original nose, I feel like the original nose was just like that to begin with But living with a surgical nose made me feel that it was different. So the conclusion is? I think I have almost returned to my original nose! Pain was my biggest problem, and now I have none at all, and breathing is also easy now! I also struggled because I developed nasal dermatitis along with the pain, but the dermatitis has improved a lot, so it does not interfere with daily life at all! So these days I am trying to get out of appearance anxiety! Right now I should just be grateful that I can live and breathe without pain, and that I can live my daily life, but whenever I keep looking at my face, I feel like I miss my surgical nose... I keep feeling pathetic for missing the version of me that was prettier, so I tell myself this every day. At this level, I should be grateful that it came out so close to my original nose Anyway, that is the end of my 1-year review! I think total removal turned out very well! What I need to work on now is changing my mental state! I think all of us need to build the habit of being grateful for the present. There are so many people here who are similar to me Let's get out of appearance anxiety, everyone!!! You are already beautiful enough!!! If anyone has questions, ask me anything!! I really studied a lot about rhinoplasty while I was in pain, so now I have a lot of knowledge that is no longer needed
