1-Year Review After Breast Implant Rupture Removal Surgery

I live overseas, so I could not get regular checkups very often, but at some point my breast shape seemed to change a little and I started to feel uncomfortable, so I decided to get examined while I was back in Korea. After looking into several places, I ended up visiting The W Clinic, which is well known for breast revision surgery and implant removal, and through an ultrasound exam I confirmed signs of an implant rupture. At first I was very surprised and worried, but Director Kim Jae-hong explained the current condition, the surgical method, and even the changes after removal in detail, so I was able to feel at ease and decide on surgery. The operation proceeded with the goal of cleanly removing the ruptured implant and the capsule as well, and I chose removal only without reinsertion. Honestly, before surgery I was very worried, thinking, "Won’t I feel too empty if the implant is removed?" and "Will I regret it?" but now I think those were unnecessary worries. It has already been a year since the surgery, and the part I am most satisfied with is that my body feels truly comfortable. Before, I had a heavy feeling or a foreign-body sensation that was hard to describe, but now I have none of that discomfort at all, and it feels like I have returned to my own body. In particular, the natural feeling when exercising or sleeping is extremely satisfying. Just being able to live without worrying about my chest has greatly improved my quality of life. Above all, I think the biggest advantage is being able to reduce concerns about my health. The postoperative follow-up and checkup system was also well organized, so I felt reassured even after returning overseas, and I was grateful that they kindly guided me every time I had questions. When I first received the rupture diagnosis, I felt helpless and scared, but now I truly think I made the right decision to undergo removal surgery then. If there are people like me who have been diagnosed with a rupture and are deliberation, I recommend getting an accurate examination and 충분히 consulting with a specialist. One year later, I am very satisfied not so much with appearance, but with having regained my health and with the comfort of my body. Simply being able to spend my days naturally and comfortably without a foreign-body sensation feels like it was an excellent choice. 😊💗
