Review of breast implant removal surgery via the armpit. Honestly, there are many reviews of breast augmentation, but not many about removal surgery. So I wrote this as honestly and in as much detail as possible for those who are interested in removal. The aftercare after surgery may probably differ by hospital! (I had surgery at [Clinic B]. Please keep that in mind while reading.) When I decided to get augmentation, I was an AA cup, and I had 350 cc implants inserted (under the breast incision). The pain was 4.5 out of 5, right? haha; but removal feels like about 1.5. It was done under sleep sedation, and while I was talking with the doctor in the operating room, they said anesthesia would start, and soon after I fell asleep and woke up to find the surgery already finished. It just felt like I had slept deeply and woke up! There was absolutely no discomfort!! In fact, for the first surgery, I remember getting general anesthesia, then waking up vomiting, unable to think straight, with a headache, total chaos. Thanks to the doctor doing a good job and the hospital taking good care of me with recovery laser treatment, the swelling was almost nonexistent and I recovered really quickly. Even when I had the augmentation done through an inframammary incision, I was in so much pain for a week that I could not even brush my teeth properly, but maybe because the removal was done cleanly, I could brush my teeth and wash my face without any trouble! Since the removal was done through the armpit, if the stitches came loose or the surgical site bled, that would be a problem, so I took daily life very carefully for about a week. Be careful opening doors, and avoid using your arms as much as possible! But normal daily life was possible. I could not shower, so I wiped myself with a wet towel and only washed my lower body.) The thing that was most uncomfortable after breast augmentation was having to sleep sitting up after surgery, but after removal you can sleep lying down! At the 1-week mark, the stitches were removed and it did not hurt at all. They say stitches are used so the skin edges meet exactly and the scar can remain neatly like a wrinkle. For my inframammary scar, I used bio-bond? But it turned bumpy and messy... T_T) After getting the swelling laser and eating and sleeping well, I could feel myself recovering day by day. There was no swelling or bruising and the pain was mild, so I thought the doctor must really have done a great job.. After the consultation, I felt like this was a hospital specialized in body contouring and revision surgery, so I trusted them and had the surgery, and I am very satisfied. So honestly, I debated between revision surgery and removal, but I definitely think I made the right choice by removing it. It is a pity that my breasts are back to an A cup, but seeing them settling in well without any side effects makes me feel relieved and happy.😍 Now only scar care is left~! I still need to keep the tape on, so I cannot check the state yet, but I will write the next review focusing on the scars. Director Kim Min-young is extremely meticulous. I strongly recommend her to anyone getting breast surgery.
