Does it make sense for a person’s nickname to be Cucumber Pavilion lol My face is long vertically and I also have wide cheekbones, so I looked older too, and being called a cucumber really annoyed me. I thought men should have some jawline, but with my long face shape there was no answer, so I looked around a lot for male facial contouring in hopes of making my face a bit shorter. Since it is a bone-cutting surgery, I looked only for hospitals specialized in facial bone surgery, and the place I finally chose was quite a large one. With big hospitals, you can’t help worrying about proxy surgery or factory-style operations, but [Clinic A] was large while also setting a strict daily limit on the number of surgeries they would do and scheduling accordingly. I felt I had found the right place because the director said they would not rush the surgery and would focus entirely on my operation. At the consultation, the director looked at my CT and explained my bone structure and nerve line in great detail, even giving exact numeric guidance on how much the chin length could be reduced and lifted. I liked how he honestly told me only the safe range so I would not end up overcorrected. The first three days after surgery were rough, but after a week, once the stitches were removed and the tape came off, it became manageable. Every time I went in for a checkup, the director personally checked whether the fixation was holding well, and the staff were friendly, so it felt good. Now most of the swelling is gone, and I can definitely feel that the long face shape that worried me most has become shorter. People around me also often say I look more handsome now, so I feel great. The director who operated on me was Dr. Lee Ji-hyeok, and I keep bowing in the direction where the director is every day.
