Nose Re-Surgery

Nose removal, day 9

Today is day 9 after the full removal surgery. Right now I have no tenderness or foreign-body sensation, and I am getting by with ice packs. I hope this helps anyone who is worried before surgery! I had the full removal because the foreign-body sensation and tenderness were severe (symptoms started about two months after the surgery last year). Surgery >>> sleep anesthesia Feels like taking a nap and waking up Surgery time >>>>>> 2 hours Surgical method >>>>> open (I had one open procedure last year) Surgical approach >>>> full removal, cartilage repositioning No nasal packing (no bleeding) No splint (only tape was applied) Sutures removed after 3 days My glabella was very swollen the day after surgery, and the next day, as the swelling went down, I had bruising around the glabella and eyes. Overall, the bruising and swelling were not severe. There was no pain, but even now, when I touch the glabella, there is pain that I can feel where the bruised area is. Now that the bridge and tip have both been removed, the skin feels a bit rough and like a deflated balloon 🎈 I am spending my days with ice packs now, and it seems like the columella incision is healing well. So far, the progress seems good, which is a relief. I even went out yesterday. I hope this post helps everyone who is still considering removal and looking for information.
