I had my splint removed today!! The moment I looked in the mirror, I blurted out to the nurse, "Ah, damn, I am doomed. Looks like I am getting divorced?"... I completely lost it... My bridge is really gone and my nose looks so ugly lol They shaved down the hump way too much during my first surgery, so my bridge is even less defined than my original nose.. I did not realize they had shaved off that much more than I expected. Only the tip is sticking up;; It looks like Pinocchio And to my eye, there seems to be a slight step, but the doctor said for now it looks like swelling, so we should wait a few months and if it still does not go away, then we can do filler. I actually like filler, so I think that is okay. The doctor also said that if it is a nose that would not improve even with filler, they would not recommend it, but in my case they said it was a nose that would look better with filler, so they recommended doing it. The surgery itself seems to have gone well, and I am mostly just angry at the doctor who did my first surgery; for now the foreign-body feeling and oddness are gone, and my nose feels so light It is refreshing~ I do not like it, but I will try to grow attached to this small, low nose
