Nose Re-Surgery

Review of consultation for nose removal and revision surgery (SooSooY, PuruM) Long post warning

I'm leaving this review as a record, so please leave lots of advice too Surgery: 3 years ago, silicone 3.5 / septal extension / bulbous nose correction My original nose was small with almost no bridge, and I had a bulbous nose Recently the foreign-body sensation and tenderness got so bad, and the bridge also turned slightly bluish, so I went in for consultation wondering if it might be inflammation What I want is to keep the nasal tip and remove only the silicone! <SooSooY> Went in immediately upon arrival Palpation / consultation fee: 10,000 won Said there was no sign of inflammation or contracture, but if the pressure feeling becomes more frequent and worse, removal is needed Said the nasal tip is soft and the pig-nose test is possible, so it seems to be doing very little as support (So would it be okay to leave it without additional reinforcement?) The bridge is unlikely to lift or become lower Said the bridge may split or become bumpy, and if that happens it could become slightly lower than the bridge I have now (minimally) If saddle nose or collapse occurs, additional reinforcement with cartilage or fascia would be needed Surgery method Both sleep anesthesia and open or closed approaches are possible Fascia can be partially removed; if you want full removal up to the glabella, there is an extra fee Said they would remove the silicone and lower the nose tip to prevent a step-off, which means the nose shape would spread a bit If I want to shape the nose more, or if I am worried about any hidden material, an open approach is better I had made a list of questions and asked them all, and it was nice that they answered well and showed me example photos <PuruM> Went in right away after waiting about 5 minutes Ultrasound + palpation / consultation fee: 10,000 won No signs of contracture, but it could be an early stage of inflammation Since the nose was originally small, they said they probably couldn't make major adjustments When I explained my symptoms, they said that if it's already like this at year 3, then at most it would last 2 to 3 years, and recommended removal...(mental collapse) They also said the silicone is inserted quite long.. almost to the nasal tip?(second mental collapse..) Could it break through that? I asked about splitting or bumpiness, and they said there is almost no chance of that and it can return to nearly its original state They did not recommend MegaDerm Surgery method Sleep anesthesia + local anesthesia Seems to be closed approach + cartilage repositioning? Also remove fascia together They said it is not urgent right now and that a closed approach is enough (bilateral excision) Of course, this is based on my current condition, and if it gets worse, the story changes They said there is no plan to lower or raise the nasal tip, just keep it as is It was nice that they checked with ultrasound and explained the nose condition in detail, but they basically said there would be almost no side effects and didn't explain what to do if there were any! ------------- I thought it would be okay if I just managed my condition well, but after getting a recommendation for removal from P, I suddenly have a lot on my mind.. And is silicone normally inserted this long? Please, someone who knows.. If I remove it, won't the nasal tip dent or collapse..? If I do it closed, I won't worry about a columella scar, but I'm also wondering whether cartilage repositioning would actually go well?? This is so hard.. I have another consultation booked at a different place too, and I'll post another review later Please leave lots of comments if you have had removal surgery or if your nose is similar to mine I'm scared
