I had it done at [Clinic A], and even up to the removal I had gone through four surgeries; I left the support in place (autologous costal cartilage), and the cost for removing only the silicone was less than my first nose surgery. It was way cheaper than I expected. It was an open procedure, and they did not use a splint or nasal packing.
At the one-month mark I had something similar to a contraction phase, but there was no change in shape. Just a slight pulling sensation? Now there is nothing at all! My nasal bridge did swell up once... but after taking antibiotics once, it went down. I think it may be because my immune system is really weak (why is an otherwise empty nasal bridge causing trouble;).
Right now it feels like a stable phase. There is no uncomfortable feeling in my nose and I think all the swelling has gone down.
