I am someone who believed that no matter how clear your features are, face shape accounts for half the overall impression, so I had two procedures done: jaw and cheekbone surgery. I consulted at several places, and quite a few of them casually recommended a three-procedure package like it was the default.. But the place I chose said that even without unnecessary extra procedures, the two procedures alone would be enough to get the result I wanted, so it felt like they were not pushing too much and I booked the surgery there. (The more clinics you visit, the better, for reference..) They also had dantrolene on hand, and it was a plus that my guardian could monitor the operation live on CCTV. Honestly, until I was about to get on the operating table I kept thinking maybe I should not do it, but the fact that someone on my side was watching over me comforted me a bit. Right after the surgery, the pressure and swelling were more intense than I expected, so it was a bit hard It makes sense. They shaved bone lol Especially opening my mouth was uncomfortable, so for a while the speed at which I ate was basically at a baby's level...^^ The cheekbone swelling also lasted surprisingly long, so at first I wondered if I had done something unnecessary, but as time passed and the lines gradually became more defined, I felt glad again. I do not even know how many times I repeated that cycle of regret lol Now the discomfort has mostly gone, and because my facial line itself has become softer, my overall impression feels much more feminine and refined Before, I looked a bit strong; now people often say my face looks much softer. I thought face shape would affect someone's impression to some extent, but after surgery I realized it matters even more than I expected lol I still have some time before I am fully stabilized, so there is a little residual swelling, but since contouring is supposed to become even more natural with time, I am quietly looking forward to it lol For anyone worried about contour surgery, I really think it is more important to find the operation that fits your own face shape than to just choose the most popular one.
