Honestly, I didn’t think my face was that unattractive. But every time I looked in the mirror, it felt like something was missing by about 2%. I had a bit of prominent cheekbones and a jaw, so when I took photos my face looked kind of broad and flat, and my nose also had a bulbous feel, so it made me look a little dull T_T. I thought that if I fixed just those parts, I’d be fine, so I decided to do it with the single-minded goal of wanting to look prettier. So I narrowed down hospitals that did contouring and nose surgery together, focusing on places that had a delicate, harmonious feel, and went for consultations. It was also a major surgery, and doing contouring and nose surgery together increases the risk, so I wanted to choose carefully T_T. I first met Dr. A for the contouring consultation, and after looking at my face shape, he pointed out exactly the parts that needed it. What I wanted was a sophisticated image, and he focused mainly on the cheekbones and jawline I was worried about. He also reflected my wish for the jawline to look good from the side when designing it!! I liked that he designed it not just for the front view, but also by balancing the cheekbones and lower face from the side, so I felt like this was the place I should do it. Fortunately, my nerve line wasn’t too far out, so it was possible to shave it as much as I wanted lol. For the nose, I consulted with Dr. B, and when I said I didn’t want an implant, he said it would still be possible to create a refined line using autologous costal cartilage, which made me really happy lol. Since I wasn’t using an implant, the step-off difference was what worried me most, but the doctor spoke confidently about that part, so I felt reassured too haha. I had a few other consultations booked after [Clinic A], but I had already visited several places before that, so I felt like I’d compared enough. So I canceled the rest of my appointments and had the surgery at [Clinic A]. Right after surgery, the swelling was severe and I had packing in my nose, so it felt very stuffy, but once they removed the packing I could breathe better. Phew lololol. For contouring, at first the swelling made it feel like I was holding a candy in my mouth, but after two weeks the line started to show. Now the major swelling is all gone and my face shape looks completely smooth! Maybe because it was autologous costal cartilage, the nose doesn’t seem like it’ll drop, haha, and I really love the side profile. These days I enjoy looking in the mirror lol. Especially the dull look I had before has turned delicate after surgery, so my confidence went up and even putting on makeup is so much fun. I was worried because it was such a big operation, but the results are good and the care has been thorough, so I’m glad I chose [Clinic A] lol.
