I had been deliberation... actually, I had been thinking for a long time about whether to get rhinoplasty, and at some point I made up my mind and went around Busan Seomyeon for consultations at about 4 places before deciding on [Clinic A]. People around me said I should do it in Seoul and so on, but I am not the kind of person who is diligent enough to go back and forth to Seoul, so ... I had absolutely decided to do it in Busan, and the place I liked best among them was [Clinic A]. The reason was honestly just a feeling, but the other places, at least to me, felt too much like factory-style clinics, and the consultations felt very vague. At [Clinic A], it was run one-on-one, and even though I did not strongly and clearly push my opinions like, “please make it like this and that,” the director’s aesthetic sense seemed similar to the direction I wanted, so it was easier to decide.
The surgery was a functional nose surgery on April 25, on a weekend. I do not remember the surgery in detail, but near the end I remember waking up and having something like a pocket removed from the septum? and reducing something that was excessively swollen, and they also did a deviated septum correction, nasal bridge osteotomy, and several rhinitis procedures together. It did not hurt, and I remember it felt strange, lol;; The anesthesia and surgery both ended safely, and my nose was throbbing. By my standards, if the pain was this bad, it felt like I would not be able to sleep, so I was thinking about whether I should get a pain-relief injection, and I immediately told the nurse that I thought I would need one, so I got that too and spent the time pain-free until the day they removed the cotton from my nose 3 days later. I also had a lot of runny nose, so the hospital gave me plenty of gauze tape, and I followed the visit dates they told me and used all the ointments properly, and on day 7 the splint came off. My nose and the area around my eyes were very swollen, and the bruising on my whole face was severe, and I wondered if this was really right, lolllll. But exactly from the 2-week mark, the swelling went down a little, and because of the difference before and after, the tip shape and height, and the bridge height from the nasal bone osteotomy, my front-facing impression looked much clearer, and people around me even said my eyes seemed more lively too.
Just before the surgery, I asked the director whether the nasal bone osteotomy could be skipped, and the director recommended doing it, saying that if I did not, my nose would look bulky. If I had not done it, I really think I would regret it a lot now. Thank you^^ Right now it is day 19 after surgery, and compared with the photos from the 2-week mark below, the overall swelling has gone down a bit more, and I can feel that sensation in my nose is also coming back a lot. Day by day, I am so satisfied with the current shape because it looks natural, and I am truly satisfied that I had the surgery at [Clinic A] and think it was the right choice^^
