It sounds cliché, but I do not think there is anything stronger for expressing your desired look. I wanted a glamorous line, so I brought photos of Karina, Miyeon, and Seolyun. You get the vibe I was going for, right?From the reviews, people who wanted a really dramatic result were saying up to 6 mm, so I went in prepared, but they said even 5 mm was at the limit of how much skin allowance I had, so I had the silicone pressed in tightly (that is just how I am describing it haha) and went with 5 mm. It was my first surgery, but because I wanted a glamorous line, I had it done with autologous rib cartilage, and I also had hump osteotomy, bulbous nose correction, and nostril reduction at the same time.The biggest concerns for me were the curved hump when seen from the side (which also contributed to looking masculine) and the wide nostrils from the front, but after the osteotomy and nostril reduction, everything became clean and neat with nothing distracting. Now, just looking at my nose reminds me of Karina....(really sorry) That was the good part of the nose surgery, and I will also talk about the difficult and uncomfortable parts.After surgery, bleeding, not being able to breathe because of the packing, and having a sore throat all day were basic. I had to sleep sitting up for a while, and I think I barely slept properly for a week because I was afraid of rolling onto my side even half-asleep. And once the splint came off, sebum greeted me... Long-term, I think reviews after more than a year are more helpful, so I held it in and finally wrote this one.From the day of surgery to around one month, it is noticeable, but by the time a month passes, you can go out wearing makeup and start rubbing against things a bit.Month to 3 months: still some swelling, but you get used to the operated nose and do not feel much of a foreign-body sensation; to other people, it looks fairly natural.3 months to 6 months: all the residual swelling goes down, and it feels like your own nose. If it was done naturally, from this point on you can probably meet people without telling them you had nose surgery; the sensation at the tip of the nose also came back for me around this time.6 months to 1 year: basically your own nose. At this point, you get used to shading and makeup for this nose, and it feels familiar. Other people also say they do not remember what my face looked like before surgery.1 year to 1.5 years: this is when I think you need to watch carefully for sagging or whether contracture appears. Mine is still totally fine. Some people say it happens within a year, some say they are fine even after 10 years, so I think it depends on the person and also a lot on the surgeon's technique.
