One-Month Review of Functional Nose Surgery at [Clinic A]

I got a lot of help from searching this community while I was worrying about nose surgery, so I wanted to leave my own review too! First of all, it’s been about one month since my nose surgery. I had an incision, and my septum was crooked, my nasal bone was crooked, and I had a hump nose. 1. Why I decided to have surgery As you can see from the pre-op photos, my nose was very crooked, and the inside was also extremely twisted because of a fracture, so even if I just caught a cold my nose would get so blocked that it was hard to breathe. Still, I was scared of nose surgery, so I thought about it for a year, then decided to do it because I wanted to live more comfortably. 2. The look I was aiming for? Because I was scared of revision surgery and contracture, I wanted no implant, and I also wanted to stop at ear cartilage because costal cartilage scared me too. I wanted something natural and something that suited my face, but the photo I brought was of actress Go Youn-jung lol. I think I wanted a straight-to-slightly-straight line, but that was just for reference, and I basically asked them to make it fit my face. 3. Going around for consultations I went to about five places, and my conditions were: not factory-style, operating room CCTV viewing available, aftercare provided, good reviews, and at least 10 years of experience. I went to both plastic surgery clinics and ENT clinics, and since the main thing I most wanted improved was easier breathing, the plastic surgery clinics were really good at shaping the nose line and even had better aesthetics than I did. They also offered various services (scar-removal laser, Botox, and so on), but they honestly said they couldn’t tell whether breathing would improve after surgery. Another plastic surgery clinic said it was a difficult surgery and scheduled more than 5 hours for it. But the place I chose said it would definitely improve and scheduled it for less than an hour. Looking at the reviews, there was literally no visible sign of surgery, it looked natural, and aftercare was available for up to 3 years. The best part was that when I asked, “What if I do it like this?” they honestly told me what would happen and accepted my opinions as much as possible. That’s why I chose them. 4. After surgery First of all, I’m very satisfied with the functional breathing part. Breathing through both sides feels so much easier and better.. As for the shape, the moment the nose cast came off I immediately said, wow, it’s so pretty, and now that the swelling has gone down more, it looks even more natural. It’s at the point where no one would know unless I say so..? My side profile really improved, so I’m satisfied. My nose was almost S-shaped from the front, and had a hump on the side, but now it looks natural. I barely bruised and the swelling wasn’t severe, so I could go back to daily life as soon as the cast came off? It depends on the person, though! The scar on my nose is also barely visible, and above all I’m happy that my nostrils are not uneven. I’m genuinely satisfied. The fact that the doctor in charge checked my progress directly at every follow-up was also nice. There weren’t many reviews for [Clinic A], so I was really worried, but if you want a really natural-looking nose, I recommend them.
