I wanted to do 3 types of facial contouring and my nose all at once, so I watched YouTube, and Director Kim Hye-young seemed good at both, so I visited a plastic surgery clinic for the first time in my life. First, the hospital was really large, so I liked that it had scale, and all the staff were kind. In particular, Manager Byun Ji-yeon consulted with me first. Since it was my first time at a hospital, I was scared because I thought plastic surgery consultants would be really intimidating and push sales hard, but there was none of that, which was nice.
They quoted 8 million won for the 3 types of facial contouring and 4 million won for nose surgery, for a total estimate of 12 million won. I think it’s on the expensive side. But since my septum is deviated, I can claim 1 million won through indemnity insurance, so I could save a little, and they said there could be another discount if I decided the same day.
According to Director Kim Hye-young, for the contouring, she said it would be reducing the cheekbones, slightly reducing the square jaw, and slightly shaving the chin. For the nose, she said since mine is deviated, the surgery would straighten that and raise the nasal bridge. I have a bulbous nose, so I was surprised when she said alar reduction was unnecessary. The consultation was kind and overall good, but maybe because they were busy, I felt there wasn’t much detailed surgical coaching tailored to my facial features, which was a bit disappointing, and I think the price is on the expensive side.. Still, I’m glad I went around for consultations.
