I had nose surgery twice, then developed contracture + the silicone protruded out. It’s now been a little over 6 months since I had the nasal implant removed!!
I was honestly so depressed, everyone..? Taking my mask off was really hard, and when I ate with someone, I would end up looking down...
Instead of listening to what people said or looking at their eyes, I kept staring at their noses. I kept thinking, “I wish I looked that way too,” and felt completely drained.
I was in a constant state of anxiety, feeling like every passerby was staring at me, but somehow 6 months have passedㅎㅎㅎ
First, the ㅊㅁ consultation was the top item on my list, so I went to see the director, ㅁㅅㄱ, who is known as a nose expert..
How should I put it? Right before I reached the period when reoperation is usually considered, even yesterdayㅎㅎㅎ I had been drowning in alcoholㅎㅎㅎ and had been dependent on it all this time for half a year, feeling completely lost about the world. But I thought, “Let’s at least try something, let’s at least go for a consultation ㅡㅡ,” so I made the consultation appointment last week and went today.
First of all, I felt like they were really meticulous and passionate. I waited about an hour for the consultation. I usually like to just mess around on my phone, and they were showing plastic surgery case videos in front, so I lost track of time. The nurse unnie probably felt sorry and kept saying, like a cute quokka, “I’m sorryㅠㅠㅠ You’ve been waiting a long time, right?” (came by 3 timesㅋㅋㅋ) Honestly, I ended up feeling more sorry myself;;
They clearly told me what would be done, and they were sweet too, but anywayㅋㅋㅋ I thought, “Ah, this really is a confident expert.” I had already been thinking I would use autologous costal cartilage, so what implant material to use was not really my concern. What I really wanted... was the shape, right? And the part I was currently anxious about, as well as what proportions would be aesthetically right, they pointed out exactly and clearly. At that point, didn’t that say everything..? ㅋㅋㅋㅋ I already feel like I’ve fallen for this place,,ㅋ to the point that if it isn’t here, I don’t even want to do itㅋㅋㅋㅋ
They said my liver seems to be in bad shape because of alcohol dependence, so I should absolutely not drink for 1 to 2 months, and they told me to take a lot of zinc.
For now I’ll stop drinking, and I’m planning to book surgery for 8/1 to match my summer vacationㅎㅎ
I hope this helps those of you who are going through a depressing and difficult situation like I did.
I’ll definitely write a surgery review 5 months later too.
For people having a hard time with contracture, go check out ㅊㅁ once. I gained a lot of trust thereㅎㅎ
If I end up visiting other places for consultations, I’ll definitely post again : )
