Before/after photos from Gaam were really hard to find before my surgery, and it’s still the same now ㅠ.ㅠ They don’t do any review events at all, so I think that makes reviews even harder to find.. Even after deciding on surgery, I practically lived in this community until the day before surgery, and even after surgery, but now that it’s almost been about two months since my nose surgery, honestly I don’t really have a reason to come in here..^^;; I just come in from time to time to kill time and leave comments, but I’m still leaving this post for people like me who desperately need reviews!
-------------------------------------------------------------------- First of all, about Gaam:
1. The director is very good (by my standards). He has a lot of surgical experience and a firm philosophy of his own. If you decide to have surgery at Gaam, I also recommend reading through the director’s blog. (He also mentions Gore-Tex, which is controversial.) 2. There is no separate consultation fee. The consultant manager has worked there for over 10 years. She has a lot of pride in the hospital and gives you very strong confidence that the surgery will go well. I can see how that high confidence(?) could make some people uncomfortable. Well, it wasn’t bad for me.
3. Local anesthesia. Many people worry about this.. I really want to tell you not to worry, please. It truly doesn’t hurt at all. Personally, it was 1000 times better than sedation anesthesia, where I wouldn’t be awake and wouldn’t know what surgery was being done. I spent the whole surgery talking with the director. From anesthesia to surgery, it took under 2 hours. The director seems like a god of suturing.
4. An ultra-natural style that suits my original nose and face while correcting the shortcomings. He doesn’t like noses that look flashy or obviously surgically enhanced. If you like a flashy look, this clinic might not be a good fit.
5. You can think of the swelling as going down after about 1 month. It varies by person, but there is still some degree of swelling, big or small, for about a month. Walking was effective. Even when I met people after a long time, they didn’t really notice. And even my mother, whom I met after more than 2 weeks, didn’t notice.
6. Here, they don’t put cotton packing in after surgery. So there was no discomfort from that. I visited once the day after surgery to disinfect inside the nose, and then went in about 2 more times. Each time, the director checked my nose.
7. Getting nose surgery doesn’t mean you become a complete beauty or look like a celebrity. You can improve the shortcomings of your own nose and have a slightly more refined image.
