Nose Day 7 Review

It’s been 7 days since my nose surgery, and today I finally got the splint removed! I’m not completely in love with the shape, but it did get higher, so I’m just going to live with it!! haha

First, I’ll write down how the past week felt for me.

- Surgery day (Day 1) When I came out after surgery, maybe the anesthesia didn’t agree with me, because I kept retching and felt sleepy. You absolutely need someone with you, and if you’re from out of town, you absolutely need to book accommodation. As soon as the surgery ended, my friend supported me and I went straight to nearby accommodation. My nose was packed with cotton, but I usually breathe through my mouth anyway, so it was bearable for me. But wow, it really hurt. I seriously regretted it. Thankfully, though, because of the anesthesia, I slept well. But I threw up every time I drank water.

- Day 2 I went to the hospital, got disinfected, and had some tube-like thing removed. I just couldn’t bring myself to go home, so I extended my stay at the accommodation. My condition was so bad that day, and I was in pain, so I slept while crying. I really regretted it, wondering what I was doing all this for. And I resolved never to get plastic surgery again.

- Day 3 My condition got a bit better, so in the morning I ate cereal and porridge and took a light walk nearby. From the third day, strangely, it became manageable.

- Day 4, cotton removal day I had heard that removing the cotton hurt, so I was a bit nervous, but the cotton just felt like it came out with a “hng” sensation. The disinfection hurt like crazy. They disinfected the sensitive inside of my nose so intensely that tears streamed down. But it wasn’t to the point where I was screaming. It hurt, but it was bearable?? And I finally went home!

- Days 5, 6, 7 I lived like a totally normal person and forgot all about the pain. At home I ate everything I wanted, took long walks, and barely had any pain haha. But around Day 6, the inside of the splint got itchy and I wanted to scratch it like crazy.

- Day 8 (splint removal and stitch removal day!!) I had seen reviews saying removing the splint feels like your nose is being removed, and removing the stitches feels like your skin is being sewn back up, so I was really scared. But thanks to my oily skin, the splint came off in one go, and the stitches were bearable too. Just a slight stinging sensation?

*Overall review* I think nose surgery is honestly a harder plastic surgery than eyes ㅜㅜ Still, for the pain, if you just endure surgery day and the next day, those two days, it becomes doable.

Also, when you get a consultation, even if the doctor doesn’t ask, make sure you explain your opinion in detail. How high you want the bridge, how much you want the nasal tip raised. I couldn’t explain it well, so it’s not the nose shape I wanted ㅜㅜ Still, I’m not thinking about revision surgery haha. The director’s skill is good, so my nose is smooth and I think the scar will disappear quickly too. I hope all of you have successful nose surgeries ꪔ̤̮♥
