There was no separate consultation fee. I waited, then got a CT scan, waited again, consulted with the manager, and waited some more. The manager looked at the CT scan and said I had a deviated septum rhinitis and recommended functional nose surgery. I wasn’t planning on functional nose surgery, and another hospital had said it wasn’t necessary. Then I met the doctor, and the consultation was rushed. I was explaining how I wanted my first nose surgery done, and he cut me off saying I didn’t need it. It felt like a consultation that made it seem as if my nose wouldn’t turn out properly unless I used autologous costal cartilage. He strongly recommended autologous rib cartilage.
