The doctor spent a very long time giving a very thorough consultation. I was worried and stressed about revision surgery, and since it seemed like inflammation, he said it would be better to remove it first, watch the progress, and then proceed. He did not seem to prefer an open approach, so he said he would do it as a closed procedure.
