I only had the bridge of my nose operated on 10 years ago. In other places, I had been discouraged because my original nose wasn’t low, upturned, or humped, and there was no reason to operate on it, but this was when I had a vague fantasy about cosmetic surgery, so I went there and blindly asked them to raise just the bridge by 1 mm. If I was going to do it, they suggested raising it by 3 mm and lifting the tip too to keep the angle the same, but I didn’t want to touch the tip, and since my nose wasn’t low to begin with, I thought it would look unnatural, so I just asked them to raise the bridge by 1 mm and had the surgery.
The result... I regret having it done. When the swelling was still there, it seemed only a little higher than my original nose shape, so other people didn’t really notice it, but I was satisfied by myself. As time passed, maybe because my skin is very thin, the silicone shape started to show slightly, and instead I found myself wondering why I even did it. I can’t tell whether this was the clinic’s mistake or whether my nose was simply not a nose that should have had surgery in the first place.
