I was concerned that the fat under my eyes looked bulging, so I went for a consultation. At first, I didn’t clearly know the difference between under-eye fat repositioning and simple fat removal, but it was helpful that they explained the difference during the consultation. I had assumed repositioning was always better, but they said the method can differ depending on the under-eye fat and degree of hollowing, so they seemed thorough. Since my under-eye fat is quite prominent, they explained that removing only the necessary areas could be better than moving all the fat. Repositioning means moving fat to hollow areas to smooth the under-eye contour rather than simply removing it, while fat removal means removing unnecessarily protruding fat. After hearing this, I finally understood the difference. Before the consultation, I thought I only needed the fat removed, but hearing which method would look more natural for my eyes should help when deciding on surgery. They answered my questions in detail, so after the consultation I felt I had more direction than when I was researching vaguely. I was satisfied with the consultation for now, and plan to compare a few more places before making my final decision.
