I decided to get canthoplasty because I wanted my eyes to look bigger without getting double eyelids. The result is satisfying, but there is absolutely no way I can get that sharp outer-corner shape like <. I think that is only possible when the eye is opened just a tiny amount.
As expected, mine is also a bit softer and more like a vertical stroke, but makeup covers it completely, and anyone who did not see the swelling right after my surgery would not know it was there at all.
Still, people say things like, did you lose weight somewhere, or did you change your makeup?
The surgeon did not push any other procedures even though I was only getting canthoplasty, and took a very careful look. I really wanted to open the eyes a lot, but I think they made it as much as possible for me. After surgery, I had a really, really, really hard time because of swelling in one conjunctiva. For almost two months, one side would not go down, so I wore an eye patch when I went out. Without it, it looked awful.
With time, it eventually went down completely, and now I am truly satisfied with the surgery.
