(There are absolutely no false claims here; I am speaking purely as a consumer about what I personally experienced..) Really, really the worst. I feel so depressed that my first surgery got ruined like this. At this point, it has been almost 7 months since I had incision double-eyelid surgery here, and the right double eyelid is loosening. It feels like it may come undone soon. On top of that, the left and right heights were not matched, and it just looks like I had double-eyelid surgery and am advertising it. If you do an incision, you should do it in moderation, but my eyes do not fully close like they used to. I can see a little bit of the whites. I am seriously so stressed out. This is just the beginning; I am going to say everything, from the consultation onward lol. First, I called to make a consultation appointment, but they barely answered, so I went there in person. At that moment it happened once, so I thought maybe they were busy. There were so many people that I waited more than 30 minutes just to get a consultation. But all those people were in their 40s to 60s. It was not almost all of them, it was literally everyone except me, all older people. At that point I should have realized this was not the place for me and left, but I had come all the way there and did not want to waste it, so I decided to at least get the consultation. First I consulted with the manager and another staff member. Each one was about 5 minutes? Then I waited again and consulted with the surgeon. About 5 minutes..? He seemed very gentle. Back then I thought that was just how he was. After I finished the consultation and went out, I thought it over and decided to just go with this hospital. The reason was stupid: among the hospitals I had researched, it was the cheapest. The only information I could get was that it would be incision, local anesthesia, and normally 650,000 won, but 600,000 won if paid in cash. That was it, seriously. Even when I called to book, I asked whether partial-incision surgery was possible, but they said a bunch of things and the conclusion was incision. Something felt off, so I asked the same question again, and they said it would be incision. They said incision does not come undone easily, and since I have some eyelid fat, I tried to think positively. Overall, I was just foolish, and because it was double-eyelid surgery, I thought there would not be any serious risk and that they would take care of it well on their own. But I still have a lot to say. From here on, because this was my first cosmetic procedure, I may not be able to say for certain whether this hospital is truly strange or not. I will just talk about what I experienced. On the day of surgery, before the final consultation, I filled out the consent form. They told me the surgeon would do the operation, but the final stitching would be done by another licensed doctor?? I thought, huh?, but said okay, paid, and went to the consultation. Honestly, I thought the surgeon was a different person. The way he spoke changed so much, and even his voice changed, so I really thought he was someone else. When they were marking the crease, and said to look forward and look at them, I stared straight at the surgeon because I really thought it was another person.. Even then, all I knew was incision, local anesthesia, 600,000 won. That pre-op consultation right before surgery was about 3 minutes. He poked around with a pointed tool, then I was taken to the operating room. I thought they would give me surgical clothes, but I was laid down and the surgery was done while I was still wearing my own clothes. That is what I am most curious about. Is that really okay..? Were there about 5 people there? One of them was getting scolded by the surgeon while that person lazily went, yeah, yeah~.. and from that moment I felt the disaster coming. Because I had seen reviews from other people who had similar experiences after double-eyelid surgery, too.. In other video logs, they draw the line in advance with a pen during consultation, but something felt off; only after I lay down did they draw the line however they wanted. I could feel them dragging it all the way down toward the outer corner of the eye. I really wanted to storm out. But why did I not leave? Because I still thought, they will probably do an average job. Double-eyelid surgery is the easiest among cosmetic procedures, and there were this many customers, so I thought they would at least do something decent and handle it themselves. I was just an absolute fool. If it were now, I would just ask for a mirror immediately and look. No, I would have just avoided that kind of hospital in the first place. The surgery ended in 30 minutes. Afterward, while applying ointment, my guess is it was a nursing assistant and the staff member who had tied the stitches. But why is a doctor being taught how to apply ointment? The doctor was applying ointment to my eyes, and their hands were shaking so much that I started shaking too. After everything was done, while my mother was buying medicine at the pharmacy, I was taking the standard day-1 photo, but something looked strange. The stitches looked strange. If other people’s eyes right after double-eyelid surgery have stitches that look smooth, mine looked all squiggly..? Like they had just sewn the skin together. I do not know whether that is actually a method or whether it was a quack, but it would not be strange if it were the latter. I took photos diligently every day. Even when there were signs of asymmetry, when symptoms of incomplete eye closure appeared, or when the line looked strange, I clenched my teeth and waited. When I asked the hospital, all they said was that I had to wait, and that was the only answer anyway. But now that more than 6 months have passed, all I can do is swear. After the CSAT, and whatever else, I will get revision surgery at another hospital. I tried to save money and ended up spending more. And it was not just money: from the moment I booked this hospital, I kept making awful round trips to Seoul, my time, my money, the agony after surgery, the swelling I had to reduce, how many times I had to run to the bathroom because of the antibiotics among the medicines I was taking, my anxious mind, the search results on Naver were flooded with incision double-eyelid surgery, and because my eyes would not close, when I went back at 3 months and asked them to check, the person called the manager before I met the surgeon scolded me for not answering when they had called me, and when I showed the photos of my eyes not closing, they casually scrolled through my gallery and even looked at other photos, then after waiting another 30+ minutes to meet the surgeon, they said, try closing your eyes tightly. They close fine, though? Does someone who is not even 20 feel no guilt when this is their first surgery, done because they want to look prettier? It really is all about making money. They are still packed with people, too. In the end, I was the problem from the start. It was my fault for ignoring everything and choosing this hospital because it was cheap. They seem to have moved locations, so I guess I should go check once.
