I had functional nose surgery, but honestly there was not even a 1% improvement in function. At another hospital I was considering until the end, they said I probably did not need functional nose surgery, but here they said it would be better to do it too, so I trusted them and went ahead. It is not even that it got better and then went back, there has been no change at all since the surgery...
The director and the staff are really kind, but I really did not want a revision, and in the end the cartilage showing through was so severe that I am going to have revision surgery...
Before the swelling went down, I liked the shape, but once it went down, it became so natural that I could not even tell it was different from my original nose... People around me could not recognize it either. I had this done because I was thinking about functional nose surgery, but if not, I wish I had done it at a different place with a design I liked better. When I looked again after the surgery, everything felt too natural, almost to the point of being too subtle, and the elongated tip shape seemed pretty much the same. I think the revision will be done at another hospital.
