It has been over 10 years, but I went in wherever I could and had surgery. My skin is on the thicker side, so I was told that the buried-suture method would definitely come undone and was advised to get an incision, so I also had full-incision eye correction. Maybe because so much time has passed, it looks natural, but because of the nature of the incision method, there is no way to avoid the incision scar showing when I close my eyes. The doctor was fairly kind and the consultation was good.
