First of all, I had my surgery with Dr. Park Jeong-heum at Mighty. While visiting several places and getting consultations, I chose Mighty for these reasons: 1. There is only one lead doctor, and the clinic has been established for a long time. 2. He only performs two surgeries a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Based on those two things alone, it did not feel like a factory-style clinic at all, which I liked. 3. At the consultation, they spent more time with me than other places and I really felt like it was a fully customized consultation. Other clinics mostly gave short, generic explanations about materials or nose surgery methods that apply to anyone, and it felt like, “Let’s just go with the straight line that is popular these days,” that kind of vibe.... Here, they listened enough to understand my concerns, explained nose shapes and methods that would suit my face shape, and recommended options to me. What mattered was this... I have a recessed chin, so my lower face, meaning the area below, is relatively very short compared with the upper part containing the forehead and eyes, right? T_T That was stressful for me too, so I even got chin filler, and so on. Anyway, this doctor immediately caught that without me even saying it. He said that because I have a recessed chin, if they raise the bridge too much with silicone from the start, the upper part would stand out even more than it does now, making the lower face look relatively shorter and possibly causing even more stress, so it might be better not to raise the bridge. He said they would decide after trying it during surgery and seeing what worked better. Other places were just saying to put silicone in the bridge from the start. This was the first doctor who argued that not using silicone might be better, and I had never even thought about that, but the reasoning was very sound and convincing. He also said that to correct a bulbous nose, raising the tip is necessary, but my tip was already somewhat high, so if they raised it only with front view correction in mind, it could look unnatural from the side. He really looked at my facial structure and existing nose and explained what direction would be best, so I felt very strongly that this was truly a customized consultation tailored to me, and that is why I chose them. (That got long, anyway.) 2. After surgery I visited on day 3, day 7, and day 9. Honestly, I am someone who gets sick easily and my body is slow to recover in general. On day 3 I went to get the nasal packing removed, and I guess my condition looked really bad T_T The doctor and the manager were both worried, so they gave me an IV drip for free... They kept asking whether I was okay during the drip and even after I got home T_T I really felt that warm, genuinely concerned kindness... And even after day 9, the doctor said the swelling still seemed not to have gone down much and asked me to come back a few days later so he could check the progress once more, so I went again on day 12 and he examined my nose again. My older sister also had nose surgery, haha.. I went so often that even she asked why I was coming back so much, but honestly it really felt like the doctor was not just doing the surgery and calling it done. Even after surgery, he kept paying attention to my condition and the swelling in my nose. He said I should visit one more time at the one-month mark to check my nose again. I was worried, like, is this really how nose surgery is supposed to be? But because I visited often and he kept checking my nose, my anxiety went down a lot. On the visits after day 3, 7, and 9, I also received free swelling laser treatment, yay. I usually do not write reviews, but I wrote this long one because I was so satisfied with how I chose the clinic and with the post-op care. I am very happy with the shape of my nose too... If they had just raised the bridge in a straight line from the start, my recessed chin would have stood out even more and I would have been annoyed. Now I have the most beautiful and natural-looking nose for my face shape. Goodbye, bulbous nose, do not ever show up again. I can finally have a slim nose too~ and I can spend less time on contouring. Let us just shout out Dr. Park Jeong-heum from Mighty... thank you. + I used autologous costal cartilage too (I did not want a revision, so I just went straight ahead). + Also, one reason I chose the clinic was that Mighty is known for using autologous costal cartilage well. + And apparently they ended up putting a very small amount of silicone in the bridge after all.
