<Natural nose, front view><Natural nose, side view><Operated nose, front view><Operated nose, side view><After early removal, front view (same day)><After early removal, side view (same day)>Today, on day 19 after my rhinoplasty, I had only the silicone removed.
Originally, I had surgery on the nasal bridge (silicone) + nasal tip (septal cartilage) + bulbous nose correction.
After the splint was removed after surgery, even taking swelling into account, the height between my eyebrows was much higher than I had wanted, and above all, the change in my impression was really big. People around me often said I looked older, so I got so stressed every time I looked in the mirrorㅠㅠ Also, I had pain between the eyebrows, a foreign-body sensation, headaches, and eye pain, so it was hard.. Because I had pain, my anxiety about the implant kept getting bigger. So I decided to have it removed.
I had a consultation for early removal on day 14, and today, day 19, I had only the silicone removed.
The removal was done at the hospital where I originally had my nose done.
The reason I removed only the silicone was because I really liked the nasal tip. Of course, I was worried about things like a step-off, but for now I liked the nasal tip and only the area between my eyebrows was stressing me out, so I removed only the silicone.
For now, today after the early removal, I feel so at easeㅠㅠ If I hadn't done it, I think I would still be looking in the mirror and feeling stressed..
The surgery was done with a closed approach, making an internal incision in only one nostril to remove only the silicone. They did not put on a splint, only taping, and they did not put cotton in my nose!!! They said the surgery took 10-15 minutes. Including preparation and recovery time, I think it took about 2 hours total?
Once I recover, I'll come back to post another review! Whether there is a step-off or a contracture phase
