Today I finally went to my first hospital consultation. On Friday, I’m planning to visit three places in Gangnam that are said to be good at functional rhinoplasty.. For now, I liked that the director kindly consulted with me for 30-40 minutes just for the consultation, but it did feel like he didn’t really know much about the aesthetic aspects beyond the functional issues. I also consulted with the consultant for about 30 minutesㅠ But the tone was that everything I was worried about would definitely be fine, so I’m not sure if that’s rightㅠ
They said they would cut out the deviated part of the septal cartilage and use it for the nasal tip. I was worried that if they cut out the deviated part of the septal cartilage, the septum would become thinner, so nasal support might not be good and it might not be structurally sturdy, but they said that would not happen. They said they are not cutting out the central support, but cutting from the side space.
But I also think the deviated septum is the part that looks like the central support..?
Maybe it’s because I don’t really understand the 3D internal structure of the nose, but it keeps feeling like what they say changes.
I currently have thread lifting in my nasal tip. The director said that since it’s thread, not filler, it’s hard to remove, and the consultant said they remove all the threads before going in ㅋㅋㅋ But then they said the surgery would be performed by the chief director.
They said on the day of surgery I would also have about a 1-hour preoperative consultation with the chief director, but still, since I didn’t get a consultation directly from the person who will perform the surgery, I think it would be hard to decide, ‘I should have surgery here right away!!’
For now, I’ll go visit the three places on Friday and come back to share another review.
