Originally, I had no thoughts about my eyes, but after the COVID mask era began, I became worried that my eyes looked sharp and made me look angry when my face was expressionless, so I decided to get double eyelid surgery to soften my impression << I said this every time during consultations.
1. ㅇㅎㅅ All my friends around me had it done here, so I went. Incision + ptosis correction + upper epicanthoplasty (but looking at consultation tour reviews, it seems like they suggest this to everyone) I could only consult with the consultant, and there was no separate consultation room; we did it by the door. The atmosphere was like an old hair salon... It’s famous and my friends also did it at ㅇㅎㅅ, so I was planning to do it here too, but after actually going to the clinic I was a bit disappointed.. They said my eyes are big, my eyelids are thin, I have no fat, and my eyes are asymmetrical. I said I didn’t have a specific line I wanted and just hoped it would suit my eyes, so they tried holding different lines here and there (it was held like a slightly scary-looking eye, but since the consultant was doing it...) They started from low to high, and when they held it high, they suddenly said in a familiar way, oh, because of the brow bone, it can’t be high. Anyway, they said upper epicanthoplasty and ptosis correction are needed for the front to look open with an in-out line.
2. ㅈㄴ Consulted with Director ㅊ and had a short consultation with the consultant. Natural adhesion + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty Very kind. They said my eyelids are thin and my eyes are asymmetrical. Here too, they tried holding lines here and there and recommended an in-out line. They said canthoplasty and ptosis correction are needed to correct the asymmetry and make the front line visible.
3. ㄴㅂㄹㅅ ㅎㅇㅅ Had a long consultation with the consultant, then a short one with the director, which felt like confirming the parts the consultant had noted. Incision + ptosis correction + upper epicanthoplasty The consultant was very kind and also consulted me on other areas. They said my skin is thin, but because of the thick-looking feel caused by the closeness to my eyebrows and because my eyes are protruding, the double eyelids could loosen easily, so incision is needed. They said since a lot of the whites of my eyes are already exposed, there cannot be a dramatic change in eye size. They said ptosis correction and upper epicanthoplasty are not essential. They just said everything for my eyes is optional. But they said if ptosis correction is done strongly, my eyes could actually look sharper. They held the most natural line and the one I wanted (but I thought it might become an inner double eyelid). The price was the highest.
4. ㅅㄱㄴ Had a long consultation with Director ㄴ and a short consultation with the consultant. Natural adhesion + ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty They asked the most about the method I wanted. While holding different lines here and there, I chose which one I liked best. When looking in the mirror while they held the line, they told me I had to look at the mirror from the front to know properly. I asked whether my eyes might look too close together if I got my nose done, and they measured the distance between my eyes with a vernier caliper, then said it is currently a certain number of mm, and the appropriate distance varies depending on alar width, but since my alar base is slightly narrow, epicanthoplasty would be okay, and even if I get my nose done, the distance between the eyes does not change much, so I don’t need to worry. I also asked about natural adhesion and incision, and they said since the line I want is a natural line, it’s okay not to do incision. They said if the line is set high, incision may be necessary. The consultant said my eyes are good eyes for double eyelid surgery. The price was the most reasonable.
Common points mentioned at all 4 places: canthoplasty, ptosis correction, a not-too-high in-out line. But seriously, where should I do it...ㅜ
