First of all, my nose is small, short, spread out, upturned, and even my skin is thin. But my nose isn’t wide or large, so... it’s definitely an unattractive nose, but when you look at my face overall, it isn’t that ugly.. People say it looks like IU’s old nose or a Disney nose..
But it really is a very low and unattractive nose, so after living with it as a complex for 10 years, I finally decided to get consultations this time ㅠ.. Today was my first consultation, and I honestly feel completely drained..
From the time I was researching online in the first place, it was hard to find primary surgery cases similar to mine.. It’s hard to find reviews for upturned noses, and even harder to find reviews where they turned out well....??? After researching as much as I could, I picked clinics where, when comparing before and after photos, the nostrils came down nicely from the front view and they created a smooth semi-straight line, but most of them turned out to be clinics specializing in revision surgery..
Today I went to consultations at ㅊㅁ and ㅂ. Both places said my nose is too low, too upturned, too small, and too thin, and that if it’s operated on half-heartedly, it’s the kind of nose that will definitely get complications.. They said it absolutely has to be finished with the first surgery.. Both started at 6.5 million won ㅠ Maybe because they do a lot of revision surgeries..?
ㅊㅁ said improvement itself is impossible unless it’s silicone + autologous costal cartilage, and that if any other material is used, it will definitely turn up again and contracture will occur.
ㅂ said they would do silicone + ear cartilage + osteotomy, but that with these materials, it’s a surgery only they can do, and that other places will definitely recommend autologous costal cartilage, but because my skin is thin, it will absolutely become a problem later.
I still have more consultations left at other clinics.. But they’re saying my nose is that difficult, challenging, and risky, so I’m really scared....
But my nose is really dragging down the level of all my other featuresㅠ I want to improve itㅠ If from the start it’s such a hopeless nose that even surgery is this difficult... Should I not even try to improve it and just live like this... I’m worried I’ll just spend money for nothing and end up looking even worse..
