Ever since I was young, I had a major complex about not having a pretty side profile. My chin looked like it protruded, which made my overall impression seem a little blunt. Whenever I took photos or sat next to someone, I would unnecessarily worry about my profile T_T

I still remember that the early recovery period was difficult because of swelling and nasal congestion, making it uncomfortable to breathe or sleep. During the first week, time seemed to pass so slowly, but after one to two weeks, the stitches were removed and I could brush my teeth, so I gradually felt like I could live again haha
Around week three, opening my mouth gradually became easier and the clogged feeling in my ears almost disappeared, making daily life much easier. After one month, the swelling visibly subsided, my smile became more natural, and I could gradually eat more foods.
After the third month, I could definitely feel that I had recovered a lot. I could comfortably eat most foods, and I worried much less about my profile or taking photos than before. As time passed, I could see my facial contour settling more naturally, which made me even more satisfied haha
And now it has already been 11 months! These days, I hardly think about having had double-jaw surgery in everyday life haha. Chewing and opening my mouth are natural and comfortable, and my occlusion is stable and aligned well. Nearly all the facial swelling is gone, and my overall contour feels completely settled as my own face.
In particular, I truly hated taking photos before surgery because my side profile made my chin look protruding, but now profile photos no longer bother me as they used to. People around me also tell me that my face has become naturally prettier, which often makes me happy haha
At first, the recovery period felt long, but it is amazing that 11 months have already passed. Rather than looking like I had surgery, it now feels as if my face has simply been naturally refined, and that is what satisfies me most. I no longer feel self-conscious about my profile as I did before, and I am more comfortable taking photos, so I think I am glad I had the surgery haha
