Before<Before (day of surgery), after (day 6 after double eyelid surgery)>After<4 hours after surgery>After<day 2 after double eyelid surgery>A review written after coming back from suture removal First, I’m writing this as a record
** On the day of surgery, of course you can’t drive yourself, and there may be individual differences, but I couldn’t drive until day 1 After that, driving was possible, but the ointment got on my eyelashes and into my eyes, and because I had conjunctival edema, my vision looked blurry, so extra caution is needed
{ Incisional double eyelid surgery, ptosis correction, lateral/lower canthoplasty, upper eyelid fat repositioning + removal }
I think the surgery started at 7 PM on September 27 and ended around 9:30-9:40 When I went to get the medicine, I wasn’t fully with it, so even though I heard the explanation, I couldn’t really remember it Still, it was such a relief that the hospital explained the medicine on an A4 sheet...
The bruising and swelling were less than my mom’s, so I even wondered if I really had the incisional method done... It doesn’t show well in the photo, but on day 2, the left side had reddish bruising and the right side had purple bruising close to the eyelashes
I took walks often, split into 15-20 minutes or 30-40 minutes a day, and had one pumpkin juice right after each meal, 3 total, drank a big bowl of water in between, and brewed pumpkin red bean tea and drank about 1 L a day, I think. I heard you shouldn’t do compresses for too long at once, so I only did about 20-30 minutes total per day
On day 5, I had the double eyelid sutures removed They said it would sting; the eyelids were okay, but at the inner corners of the eyes, it felt like the skin was being pinched... tears welled up On day 10, I’m getting the lateral/lower canthoplasty sutures removed I really hope it’s only a slight sting... I’ve become scared of suture removal...
Today is day 6, and of course there is still swelling and bruising, the line heights are different, and the lateral/lower canthoplasty still looks unnatural I’m thinking it’ll become more natural over time, so I’ll keep walking diligently and make sure to drink pumpkin juice
+ I don’t know whether it’s because of the ptosis correction or the lateral/lower canthoplasty, but my eyes are extremely, incredibly, very dry So they gave me artificial tears too, and I’m putting them in frequently I use a lot of cotton swabs; individually wrapped cotton swabs are good, and newborn cotton swabs are good too For removing eye discharge or eyelashes, newborn cotton swabs were better
