Mint Rhinoplasty Review

There weren’t any reviews about Mint, so I’m posting one. I’m really not a broker, and before my surgery there were so few reviews, so I’m writing this both to share info and because it’s the first day and my nose hurts so much I can’t sleep.

First, I only went to two consultations. Because I was lazy. I liked that Mint does things safely under local anesthesia and pursues a natural look, so I booked the same day and paid 10 percent. But they told me the price excluding the 10 percent VAT, so if I wanted to pay by card I’d have to pay 10 percent more.. So I paid in cash.

[Day of surgery] My appointment was at 2, so I went at 2. 1. As soon as I arrived, I washed my face and took photos before nose surgery. 1:50 2. Waiting (while waiting, I saw the director checking people who came for nose consultations) 1:55 ~ 2:20-30 3. Consultation with the director 2:30 - 2:45   I showed photos of the nose I wanted, but he said it wouldn’t turn out exactly the same anyway and didn’t really try to look.   So I clearly told him the nose I didn’t want. The glabella absolutely must not be high. I want the bluntness of the nose improved a lot. No upturned nose. I’d like a definite front-view effect.   I said about that much, then chose the lowest silicone for the glabella, placed it on my nose, and checked it together with my guardian.  The director says he really pursues a very natural look, but once you’re in the operating room or during consultation, he does what you want.  Even before surgery my side profile was pretty, but from the front all I could see was my nose, so I told the director I definitely wanted the front view improved.   I think it’s good to clearly say what you definitely dislike and what you want before surgery!!

4.  Anesthesia ~ surgery   2:50 - 3:10 (anesthesia), surgery until 5:40  The operating room atmosphere was cozy. With the door open, two nursing assistants prepared the anesthetic medications and spoke kindly to me. They had the radio on, so it didn’t feel like a white operating room but felt friendly, which was really nice.    They did sleep anesthesia for 10 minutes, and during that time they did local anesthesia and administered antibiotics and medications, saying they were doing some kind of reaction test? They really said, “We’ll administer the medication now,” and then I drifted off to sleep lol. And as I was waking up, I was talking about my MBTI.. I remember saying things like my parents paid for the cost, and wondering if I had said anything weird. Anyway, when the anesthesia wore off, surgery had started, but I was so dazed that I stayed dazed for about an hour. When I said it hurt, they answered like, “It’s supposed to hurt~,” so it was scary, but I got through it comfortably.  Because I had surgery while dazed, it wasn’t that scary, but I remember thinking it was boring. Probably because I had my eyes closed during surgery.. And during surgery he asked things like, “We’re not putting it in the glabella, right?” “Do you want the nasal tip a little blunt?” or “Would you like it a bit higher?” I hate a blunt look, so I told him to do something in the middle, and the director didn’t seem keen but did it for me.. I’m regretting whether I should have just said to make it natural. After the nose surgery was roughly done and sutured, I looked in the mirror, and the front-view effect was definite and the side view was done well without being too high, so I was satisfied. Then he said the nasal tip drops later, so he would make it a little higher. Actually I wanted it a little higher, but the doctor said if that was the case, it seemed like I had come to the wrong place, so I said, “Ah, I’ll do it the way you say, director!!!” and went with that. I do want a natural look, but I felt it would be unfair if there was too little effect, so I asked for it a little higher, but I guess to the director it looked too high. So I only asked for up to the level the director considers right before flashy?? After he sutured my nose like that, this is when hell began. From during surgery I had already been breathing through my mouth, so my throat was already painfully scratchy, but then they put cotton in my nose, disinfected my nose, and injected my nose, so it hurt so much and was so painful.. And even after leaving the operating room, I was breathing through my mouth,.. Hell starts from the moment they put the cotton in.

3. Recovery room 5:40 - 6:40 I came to the recovery room and wanted water so badly, so I asked for water, but they said I couldn’t drink water until the director checked my progress. So I kept waiting, but he didn’t come. He had other rhinoplasty consultations, so he was seeing them. The surgery ended around 5:40, but I kept waiting, and around 6:40 the director came, checked my progress, and that’s when I drank water.. The director explained all the precautions after surgery and how to change the gauze, and he came to the recovery room and explained how to do aftercare. When I consulted at Mint, the consultation was less than 10 minutes and I’d only visited two hospitals, so I was really worried, but he seemed surprisingly warm lol So after checking, I went home.

4. Aftercare The next day I go to disinfect the nose, the day after that I go to remove the cotton, next week I go to remove the nasal splint, and 3 months later I go for a progress check, so 4 times in total. But unluckily, the day to remove the nose cotton was a day off, so we decided to remove it the next day.. So I have to visit 4 more times in total.

On the day of surgery, they gave me gauze and adhesive tape. They said if the blood from my nose fills more than 80 percent when seen from the outside, change the gauze, and when I visit the hospital the next day, tell them how many times I changed the gauze. Also, there is cotton and a straw inserted in my nose, and they said the straw is inserted to prevent blood from pooling inside the nose, so I worried a little less about blood pooling.

5. First-day impressions and review -When I had double eyelid surgery, the operating table was so cold and scary that I was a bit nervous, but the operating room was cozy and nice.  It was good that we could talk carefully before surgery and before the consultation. And I was satisfied because he tried to sufficiently meet the needs I wanted. Before surgery I was worried there would be too little effect. Looking at Mint before-and-after photos, there really were cases where the difference was tiny. But I think he did it at the stage right before flashy, so I like it haha I was worried because there were so few Mint reviews, but I liked checking the shape in the middle, and although it hurts, so far the progress seems okay, so I like it... Day 2 and day 3 hurt too, but I’ll probably write reviews because there’s nothing else to do ... I hope this helped.. It’s a very detailed review.
