I’ve already had rhinoplasty 3 times, and right now contracture due to inflammation is starting to happen (it’s not yet severe when viewed from the outside), so I’m looking into another revision surgery. It seems like there’s a problem with the silicone, causing inflammation in the nasal bridge. At the first place I went for a consultation, ㅈㅇㅈㅇ, they said they would remove the silicone, treat the inflammation for about a month, then proceed with new silicone use & the nasal tip using ear cartilage, septal cartilage, and dermis.
The second place is ㅁㅈ, and there as well they said they would treat the inflammation first, and then whether to use silicone again for the nasal bridge or use autologous costal cartilage would be my choice, and the nasal tip would be done with autologous costal cartilage.
What both places have in common is that they would remove the current silicone, treat the inflammation for a month, then do revision surgery, but I’m still worried about whether using silicone again is the right choiceㅠㅠ I’m also worried inflammation from silicone might happen again.. But if I build the nasal bridge with autologous costal cartilage, I heard there’s a pretty good chance it could warp..ㅠㅠㅠ I had a hump nose, but maybe the previous hospital shaved it down too much; the doctors said that if I had surgery without any implant at all, with nothing in the bridge, it would look very low and sunken..
Honestly, just looking at the shape, ㅁㅈ is more my style, but at ㅈㅇㅈㅇ, the director explained the nose and surgical method very thoroughly, so I trust them a bit more.. and they seem to operate naturally, so I wonder if that place would be better in the long run.. I’m so torn I’m going crazyㅠㅠ
If anyone has had revision rhinoplasty at either of the two hospitals above, please give me a detailed reviewㅠㅠㅠ I desperately want this to be my last nose surgeryㅠㅠㅠ
