I wanted surgery for my long nose and arrow-shaped nose, so I went around to plastic surgery clinics near my home in Seomyeon, Busan. I went to three places: ㅇㅇㅇㅋ, ㅇㅅㅋㄹㅅ, and ㄷㅁ.
ㅇㅇㅇㅋ The surgery ran long, so I waited about 30 minutes before consulting with the director. It ended in about 3 minutes? He asked what I wanted and explained the surgical method very generally and quickly. I was flustered because he suddenly put his hand into my nostril while talking, but thinking of it as palpation made it okay. The consultation with the consultant was a bit more detailed. They said my nose is crooked, but since my overall facial asymmetry is severe, correcting the nasal asymmetry could make the facial asymmetry stand out, so no crooked-nose correction; they said the focus should be on reducing the columella rather than correcting the crooked nose. But I felt like I didn’t properly hear about my surgical method.
ㅇㅅㅋㄹㅅ The place I had the highest expectations for. Actually, even before going, I had already almost decided on this place. They started with a CT scan and photos from each angle, so it felt trustworthy. The director gave a long consultation and explained everything I was curious about well. Since they took a CT here, they said my nasal septum was very deviated and must be corrected. If I added septal surgery, it felt like it would become too major a surgery, and the price was about 1.5 times that of other places, so I put it on hold.
ㄷㅁ I made a consultation appointment for the same day and went. The consultant gave a good consultation, but I returned without seeing the director.
I haven’t made up my mind, so I plan to go for more consultations elsewhere.
