This is my review after getting a D cup through dual-plane surgery with Mentor Xtra 350 cc on both sides. I had surgery at Human. I was naturally not even an A cup before, and having such a flat upper chest was a huge complex for me. While going to consultations, I learned that the dual-plane approach is the most commonly performed method. I chose it because I wanted a natural slope without a sharply defined upper chest, and chose Mentor Xtra because I was told it would provide definite volume while suiting my frame. The day after surgery was the hardest, but after that I was able to get around sufficiently well. At about one month, I was walking around to the point of forgetting I had surgery at all. The texture is still in the process of softening, but based on the shape alone, my upper-breast line looks natural and clothes fit completely differently, so my satisfaction is very high. Even with the same 350 cc, it can look a little larger on a smaller frame, so be sure to compare sizes through virtual simulation or fitting at your consultation. Also, even if a compression bra is bothersome and itchy at first, wearing it consistently really helps the shape settle! My friend barely wore her compression bra for a few days after recovery and ended up with bottoming out, so it was a whole mess. Wear it properly if you can.
