About tip visibility

It seems there are many people here who have had surgery, ^^;; so I wanted to ask: is nasal-tip visibility not apparent at around two to three months? Some people say that if it is going to show through, it would have shown already, while others say it becomes visible as the nasal-tip skin thins and swelling subsides. Which is correct? The surgeon who operated on me said my skin is the type that I do not need to worry about showing through… Does the skin layer have to be extremely thin for that to happen? Or does it become noticeable when the material is placed too close to the tip? A lot of people say costal cartilage shows through, so I am asking… Did it suddenly happen at six to seven months?
